CBD and sleep
For sleep support, CBD is a supporting ingredient backed by research. CBD (cannabidiol) is widely marketed for sleep but consumer perception massively outstrips RCT evidence. A few small trials suggest anxiolytic effects at moderate doses, which may indirectly improve sleep. In clinical studies, cbd may reduce anxiety, which can indirectly support sleep.
What dose to look for
Clinical studies typically use 25–160 mg of cbd. Wide dose range in studies (25-1500 mg); sleep-specific trials typically used 25-160 mg. Supplements that fall short of this threshold are unlikely to match what clinical trials achieved.
What the research says
The clinical evidence for cbd in sleep is limited. Consumer perception far outpaces evidence; only a few small trials with inconsistent results Learn more
