Why Lactium for Sleep
Lactium plays a supporting role in sleep. Bioactive decapeptide (alpha-casozepine) derived from bovine alpha-s1 casein via tryptic hydrolysis. Binds GABA-A receptors with benzodiazepine-like anxiolytic action without dependence risk. In clinical studies, lactium may improve sleep efficiency (1 DB-RCT, 48 participants).
How much lactium do you need
Research points to 150–300 mg as the effective range for lactium. RCTs used 150–300 mg/day. Kim 2007 used 150 mg/day for stress; Kim 2019 used 300 mg/day for sleep. Lower doses may provide some benefit, but most studies showing clear results used this range.
The evidence behind lactium
Research supporting lactium for sleep is rated as limited. Only 2 small manufacturer-funded clinical trials (48-63 participants each) for stress and sleep Learn more
