About Cranberry Extract
Cranberry contains proanthocyanidins (PACs) that prevent E. coli adhesion to urinary tract walls. Multiple Cochrane reviews and meta-analyses support cranberry for UTI prevention, particularly in women with recurrent UTIs. Standardized extracts (36mg PACs/day) are more effective than juice. Whole fruit powder and concentrated extracts both show benefit.
