Refund Policy
Last Updated: August 2, 2026
This policy explains how free trials, cancellations, and refunds work for BioStacks Pro subscriptions. It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Where You Bought It Determines Who Refunds It
Purchases on biostacks.co (the web) are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. The charge on your statement appears as “BIOSTACKS” or “PADDLE.NET”. Refunds for web purchases are handled by us and Paddle under this policy.
Purchases inside the iOS or Android app are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Apple and Google handle those refunds under their own policies — see section 5 below.
2. Free Trial (Web)
The yearly web subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. Cancel any time before the trial ends and you will not be charged anything. Before the trial converts to a paid subscription, a reminder email is sent to the address you used at checkout.
3. 14-Day Money-Back Window (Web)
If you are charged for a web subscription — the first payment after your trial, or a later renewal — and you request a refund within 14 days of that charge, we will refund it in full. We may ask what went wrong, because it helps us improve, but the refund does not depend on your answer.
After 14 days, charges are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise. You can still cancel at any time to stop future renewals, and your subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
When a refund is issued, your access to BioStacks Pro may be terminated immediately — unlike cancellation, a refund does not keep the subscription active until the end of the billing period.
Refunds are returned by Paddle to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.
4. How to Request a Refund or Cancel (Web)
- Email team@biostacks.co from the address you used at checkout, or
- Use the receipt email from Paddle — it contains links to manage or cancel your subscription and to contact Paddle support directly.
There is no cancellation fee. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not by itself trigger a refund of a past charge — request that separately if you are within the 14-day window.
5. App Store and Google Play Purchases
Subscriptions purchased inside the mobile apps are billed by Apple or Google, and only they can issue refunds for those purchases:
- Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google: Google Play refund request
6. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of your country, including any statutory withdrawal or cooling-off rights that apply to digital subscriptions.
