About Maitake Mushroom
Maitake mushroom is rich in D-fraction, a beta-glucan complex with immunomodulatory and potential glycemic benefits. Preclinical and small human studies suggest it may enhance NK cell activity and support blood glucose regulation. A pilot study in type 2 diabetes showed modest blood glucose improvements. Evidence is moderate but growing — most human data comes from small trials or case series. D-Fraction is the most studied standardized extract.
What Maitake Mushroom supports

- Contains polysaccharides with antioxidant activity
How much Maitake Mushroom to take
The RDA prevents deficiency. The effective range is what clinical trials used to actually move the outcome.
Effective
500–2500
mg
Studies use 500–2500 mg/day of extract. D-Fraction (standardized beta-glucan extract) used at 4–12 mg/day in some trials.
Clinical evidence
Moderate clinical evidence. Small human studies and pilot trials suggest immune and blood sugar benefits; evidence is limited
