About Phosphatidylinositol
A minor membrane phospholipid, usually supplied as a fraction of lecithin/phospholipid complexes. Unlike phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylinositol has essentially no standalone clinical evidence for cognition or any endpoint. Distinct from free inositol (myo-inositol). Grade low; it is a structural phospholipid, not a studied active.
What Phosphatidylinositol supports
- Structural membrane phospholipid from lecithin
How much Phosphatidylinositol to take
The RDA prevents deficiency. The effective range is what clinical trials used to actually move the outcome.
Effective
100–1000
mg
No established therapeutic dose; nominal range for a phospholipid blend component (typically from lecithin).
Clinical evidence
Limited clinical evidence. Minor phospholipid; no standalone clinical evidence.
