Anise Seed

Evidence

Limited
Evidence: 2 of 5 (Limited)

What the evidence says

Traditional carminative herb (Pimpinella anisum) used for digestive complaints. A few small RCTs suggest possible benefit for menopausal hot flashes (~330mg extract, three times daily) and infant colic, but evidence is thin and not replicated at scale.

Only small, non-replicated RCTs exist; insufficient for confident efficacy claims.
