Does the form of a supplement really matter?
Yes — often more than the dose on the label. The form determines how much you actually absorb. Magnesium glycinate absorbs far better than magnesium oxide, for example, so two products with the same mg can deliver very different amounts.
How do I know which form I'm buying?

Is a more expensive form always worth it?
