About Terminalia arjuna bark
Ayurvedic cardiac herb. Several small double-blind RCTs (chronic heart failure, stable angina) and a systematic review/meta-analysis in stable angina report improved cardiac function and exercise tolerance, but trials are small, mostly single-center, and heterogeneous. Mechanism (positive inotropy, antioxidant, mild vasodilation) is plausible. Not a substitute for guideline heart-failure therapy.
What Terminalia arjuna bark supports
- Small RCTs suggest support for cardiac function in heart failure and angina, on top of standard therapy
