About KPV Tripeptide
A C-terminal tripeptide fragment (Lys-Pro-Val) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). Animal and in-vitro studies show anti-inflammatory effects in colitis models via NF-kB inhibition. Marketed for gut inflammation and IBD support. Zero human RCTs exist for any route of administration. Oral bioavailability is uncharacterized — as a tripeptide it may survive gastric digestion better than larger peptides, but no human pharmacokinetic data exists.
What KPV Tripeptide supports
- Anti-inflammatory in animal colitis models — zero human RCTs
- No human pharmacokinetic or efficacy data exists
How much KPV Tripeptide to take
The RDA prevents deficiency. The effective range is what clinical trials used to actually move the outcome.
Effective
250–1000
mcg
Supplement doses range 250–1000 mcg/day. No human RCTs exist. Animal studies use injection or rectal administration, not oral.
Clinical evidence
Limited clinical evidence. Zero human RCTs — animal colitis models show anti-inflammatory effects but no human data for oral supplementation exists.
