Genus of lactic-acid bacteria (mesenteroides, cremoris, lactis, dextranicum) used in dairy, sauerkraut and kefir fermentation. Traditional fermentation organisms with essentially no isolated human clinical efficacy data as supplements. Consolidated to one genus entry; graded low.
