About PS
Phosphatidylserine is a phospholipid concentrated in brain cell membranes. RCTs show it can blunt cortisol response to physical and mental stress at 400–800 mg/day. Also studied for cognitive function in older adults. Well tolerated with no serious adverse effects reported. No established RDA/UL.
What PS supports

- Supports cognitive function, especially under stress
How much PS to take
Clinical studies typically use 300–800 mg of PS. 400 mg minimum effective dose in cortisol-blunting RCTs; 300 mg allows partial credit on dose curve.
- Effective range
- 300–800 mg
Clinical evidence
Moderate clinical evidence. Several clinical trials show cortisol-blunting effects at 400-800mg/day under stress conditions
