About Phytase
Enzyme that hydrolyzes phytic acid, the main phosphorus store in seeds and grains that also chelates minerals. May improve mineral bioavailability from plant foods. Found in multi-enzyme blends; potency expressed in FTU, not mg. No mg dose range is defined on purpose — a nominal mg range would score an activity-unit label value as a mass.
What Phytase supports
- Releases minerals bound by phytic acid in plant foods
Clinical evidence
