About Picrorhiza kurroa root (Kutki)
Himalayan liver herb (Kutki) standardized to picrosides. A small randomized placebo-controlled trial in acute viral hepatitis and a few pilot studies report faster normalization of bilirubin and transaminases; animal data show hepatoprotection comparable to silymarin. Trials are small and older, so confidence is limited.
What Picrorhiza kurroa root (Kutki) supports
- Small trials suggest support for liver enzymes and bilirubin recovery
