Structural protein from silkworm (Bombyx mori) silk. Evidence for skin/moisturizing benefits comes almost entirely from topical application, in-vitro, and wound-healing studies; there is no clinical trial evidence for oral silk fibroin supplementation improving skin, hair, or joint outcomes.
