About Vinpocetine
A semi-synthetic derivative of vincamine (from periwinkle) used for cerebral blood flow and cognition. Some older trials suggest benefit in vascular cognitive impairment, but a Cochrane review found evidence insufficient. The FDA has warned it is not a lawful dietary ingredient and should be avoided in pregnancy (developmental risk).
