About Whole Adrenal / Desiccated Adrenal
Desiccated bovine or porcine adrenal gland tissue marketed as 'adrenal support' glandular therapy. No RCTs demonstrate that oral consumption of animal adrenal tissue affects human adrenal or cortisol function. 'Adrenal fatigue,' the condition these products are marketed against, is not a recognized medical diagnosis per a 2016 systematic review and Endocrine Society guidance. Not a treatment for diagnosed adrenal insufficiency (Addison's disease), which requires prescription corticosteroid replacement under medical supervision.
